So, with that declaimer, let the boring documentation begin!
I am officially done nursing Eisley. I nursed Emmett till 14 months when he kinda weaned himself. Eisley on the other hand was showing NO interest in self weaning. I thought that maybe as my milk changes during pregnancy that she would naturally become disinterested. I didn't have the patience for this - Eisley had been getting more and more demanding for milk, more attached to me and waking up early just to nurse. About 2 weeks ago, I was down to one (convenience) AM nursing. When she's wake up at 5:00ish, I'd just nurse her to get a few more moments of rest (she rarely would ever go back to sleep).
Anyway, so now it's been about 2 weeks (or maybe 1.5, I haven't really been keeping track). I nursed her once in this span, so I wasn't cutting her off totally cold turkey. The results so far have been very positive. She seems to be sleeping better. I've been letting her cry a bit more at night and in the morning and she pretty quickly goes back to sleep. Last night she actually slept the ENTIRE night without crying once. And what is even better, she slept till 7:30am! She is napping a bit better too. As for the uber attachment to me, I haven't seen a vast improvement there, but I'll guess I shouldn't be complaining there. I'd rather have a daughter who loves being around me, than the opposite!
That's all for now!
