Christmas outfits

I decided I wanted to make the kids' Christmas outfits this year and I was thrilled with how they turned out.

I bought Eisley's shirt and then sewed the skirt following the The Market Skirt tutorial from the Made Blog. The pocket on her skirt matches Emmett's tie. The fabric on the ruffle matches Ender's tie.

Matching ice cream

When Eisley was born I made her a few 42x42 flannel blankets. They were perfect for swaddling, playing on, draping over the car seat, or almost anything. I loved these blankets. So of course I've made a few for Ender and have also given some away as gifts. Now one of my friends asked me to make some for her to give away as gifts.

Burp rags

My friend asked me to make a few burp rags for her to give as a gift. Of course I said, "yes!" Eric was a bit disappointed we didn't get to keep them. They turned out so cute! I assured him I could make more.

Eisley's latest dress

I've been having fun experimenting with "the ruffle"! Here's what I was working on last night. First, I have to give credit where credit is due. My flower inspiration was from THIS website. And the adding a ruffle to a onesie inspiration was from THIS website.

I had hoped this project would be a dress but I made the bottom ruffle too short, so it has to be paired with jeans or leggings.

Nursing Wrap

I made this nursing wrap for a friend. Despite a few blunders which I was able to easily repair without redoing anything, I think it turned out great! It's different from the first one I made, as I chose to only make it one layer (better for summer) and do a tie instead of D rings (D rings have never held the fabric well for me). I followed THIS blog tutorial!

Emmett's new shirt.

I made Eisley a new shirt (don't worry, I'll show you photos soon!) And now I'm working on a new shirt for Emmett. It's not quite done, but I wanted to show you anyway, I think it's turning out super cute! I had better finish it before summer otherwise I'll have to cut the sleeves off!

So here it is. Can you tell what it says?

EMMETT! You're right!
It is Eric's brainchild to write the kid's names so they can be read upside down. He got this idea when making passwords for his computer and then thought it would be fun to put it on a t-shirt. I think it's a great idea! So now, I've just got to finish the shirt and then wash it to see how the felt holds up. It's my first experience doing felt applique so I hope it's not a total bomb!
