Equation

Here is a summary of my day:

My two kids
+
two nanny kids
+
two of my friends kids
+
one amazingly creative and fun-loving husband
+
two generous grandparents

= lunch complete with nose picking

= a little butt pinching

= match box car races

= match box car demolition derby

= playing on an antique swing set at Nana and Grandpa's

= drinking Trinidadian juices from unmarked bottles

= digging in the sand

= constructing with construction leftovers

= showing off in front of your friends

= Big Mac in his niche

= so much more fun than could even be captured in these photographs.

Did I mention I was exhausted?

Thanks mostly to my husband, the kids had a blast though! I'd do it again in a second. The truth is, I've had playdates with 2 kids that were a thousand times more stressful than our home was with these 6 kids.

MN Zoo

Another wonderful playdate with Marie and Melissa - this time we got free passes to the MN Zoo!

Marie's daughter was looking so cute, I couldn't stop taking pictures of her. And I think they turned out great!

and here are some more of my favorites...

Sunny showers bring big smiles

The corn husks from our deliciously grilled corn on the cob. Doesn't it look pretty?

It was a beautiful day full of spotty sunny showers. So when it started raining right after we had finished dinner with my in-laws, we sent the boys outside to play. Thanks to Papa being silly we captured some fabulously genuine smiles from the two little cousins.

Bananas and Blueberries

I didn't take any pictures today. Not one! It's been a long time since I could say that.

A brave friend of mine from MOPS, Alicia, invited myself and my two kids and my two nanny kids to her house today. We had a wonderful time and the kids got along beautifully. The kids had plenty of room to run around and lots of fun toys to play which I think contributed largely to everyone being so happy!

Eisley gobbled down her fresh banana and blueberry baby food this morning. Yummy!

My sister in law, Amber, and I did a mega photoshoot of the kids yesterday (300+ photos) so I'll be posting those soon - just as soon as I can pick my favorites. They're all so amazingly adorable I'm having a hard time narrowing it down for you all!

Fireman's Park

Today we met one of my dear friends, Melissa, and her son, Zander, at Fireman's Park in Chaska. Our little boys were born 10 days apart and we've had weekly playdates since they were 2 weeks old. Here's our gang (my nanny boy was playing on the blanket and missed out on the picture). Melissa and I got in a few moments of chatting when were weren't having fun playing at the park, eating ice cream treats, wiping monstrous boogers, feeding the fish, hunting down missing toys, and catching climbing monkeys.

Please Pray

My dear friend's little boy is not doing well. Please pray.

Emmett and Wyatt and Eisley and Icyle - Picturama!

Eric's sister, Amber, and her two kids are in town. Her son, Wyatt, is 2 months younger than Emmett. Her daughter, Icyle, is 6 months younger than Eisley. We LOVE it when they visit us from TX and we always take a ton of pictures. Here are just a few for you to enjoy.

Pictures speak louder than words

A day at the park. Pictures speak louder than words.
