It all started Saturday night. Eisley did not sleep at all. I am not exaggerating. Well, maybe a bit. She slept about an hour the entire night! Which means of course, that yours truly, also did not sleep. Although she did not seem sick when she awoke at midnight, throughout the course of the night and morning she developed a fever along with cough and congestion. Sunday mid morning (luckily we did not go to church) Emmett began vomiting. Eric also came home from work not feeling very well.
Sunday night, again, Eisley did not sleep more than 2 hours the entire night. Monday morning Emmett seemed back to normal, no more vomiting, fever or diarrhea (these words are hard to spell). He was still a bit lethargic and didn't eat, but definitely feeling better. Eisley, however, was sick as ever. Fever, cough, runny nose, congested. Just miserable. I brought her to the doctor and he said her lungs sounded good but both ears are infected. So we got antibiotics and ear numbing drops.
Monday night, Eisley slept most of the night; was awake from 12-1am but that wasn't bad (relatively). At 3:00am Tuesday morning, Emmett came into our room, sick again! Poor little guy threw up sporadically most of the morning. Since he hadn't eaten much the previous day it didn't take much to empty his tummy.
So here we are Tuesday night. Emmett was lethargic all day but no more loss of fluids. Eisley still isn't feeling well, but she's definitely improved. I am EXHAUSTED, as you can imagine. The kids haven't been napping well either so there has been very little respite for me. I am heading to bed now though so hopefully I'll get a couple hours in before someone wakes up. I'm just praying that Eric and I don't get the bug going around this house. I changed our pillow cases (too tired to wash all our sheets), washed the kids' sheets, and sanitized all our toys. Hopefully this sore throat of mine will go away with some sleep. Good night! Hope you all stay healthy!
