The totally botched craft. So, if you read my blog, or if you have toddlers, you know that most crafts don't turn out quite as planned, but they still end up being fun and salvagable. Well today, we embarked upon a craft that totally bombed. I'm not sure what happened, it looked SO cool!
Make homemade bubbles from water, dish soap and corn syrup.
Mix the bubbles with paint.
Using a straw, blow bubbles in the paint bubbles.
Poke a hole in the straw about half way up so that the kids don't drink the concoction but they can still blow bubbles. So here is where our craft ended. The bubbles are supposed to bubble up and almost out of the container. Then you place a piece of paper on top of the bubbles and it makes cool designs on the paper. Well, we were never able to make lots of bubbles. If you want to try it, HERE is the link to the actual directions. Let me know if you can get it to work!

The bubble/paint thing sounded like a good idea. Too bad it didn't turn out!!
I love all of your crafty ideas of things to do with the kids! You are so creative. :)
Hmmm, I used to do this with my pre-school kids alot and never had problems. I wonder why it didn't work for you.
Maybe try less water next time if you make your own bubble solution?
Oh well, it's all about the process and not the product, right :)
