Snip and dip

Today we pulled out the tissue paper, scissors, glue and wax paper. A little snipping, a little dipping (in the glue) and a little pressing (sorry, couldn't think of a -ipping word)...

...and voila, a stained glass window decal!

Then we pulled out the colored ice cubes we made last week. Last week, we pulled out the "primary color" food coloring and experimented mixing colors. After waiting for them to freeze, we melted them in warm water. Our goal was to refreeze the ice cubes in the water to make a wreath. That didn't really work, so we just watched them melt.

Last but not least, we did some math games with sweethearts. Who doesn't love a subtraction problem that includes eating candy sweethearts!

YAY! So perhaps the ice cube project didn't work as well as when an adult worked on it, but hopefully it was fun! I can't wait until Julia is old enough for art projects. I'm going to have to go back through your blog for ideas!
