Heart Rice Krispie Pops

When I saw these Rice Krispie Pops on the Skip to my Lou blog I fell in love. They're so cute and super easy to make. Of course they could be tailored to any holiday.

So obviously, you start with a batch of rice krispie treats. Add food coloring of your choice if you please.
I found these heart shaped muffin pan in the Target dollar section (for $2.50). Or just use cookie cutters.
To make them really cute, add lollipop sticks. Of course, this step is not necessary, it just makes them a bit more fun!
Dip in white chocolate.
Add a conversation heart (Emmett's favorite)
or sprinkles.
To make sure the extra chocolate does not go to waste, grab a package of ritz and continue dipping.
Package them up, tie them with a bow and give them to your favorite valentine!

Snuggles x 3

I love having 3 kids. Most days it's...
Laughter x 3
Smiles x 3
Fun x 3
Kisses x 3
Hugs x 3
Snuggles x 3
But when the kids are sick then it's...
Night time waking x 3
Coughing x 3
Whining x 3
Fevers x 3
Doctor visits x 3
Prescriptions x 3
Snuggles x 3
Ender and Eisley both got antibiotics for ear infections this afternoon. I'm just hoping Emmett's cough doesn't develop into more!

Today the kids worked on their "clubhouse" (is that one word or two?)
Love is in the air!

Sledding with Daddy!

Today we went sledding!
Honestly, the snow was SO deep and the hill was SO steep that we only went down a few times.
Aren't Daddy's the best!?

Multi-purpose Marshmallows

Another full and fun day in our home.
I've had my nanny kids almost 2 years so it's fun to look back at old photos and videos. Here are all the kids captivated as we watched home videos.
Then we did wheel barrel races to put clothes on a doll.
Good old fashioned marshmallows and toothpicks sculptures.
Then we put the marshmallows to good use, making heart shaped rice krispie treats! I saw this idea on a blog somewhere but I can not for the life of me find which blog. I'll post the link if I can track it down.
The kids did a great job helping and REALLY enjoyed the fruits of their labor!
We packaged a few up to give away.

Ouch!

Last Tuesday, we were having a blast at our friend's house...
...when I heard a blood curdling scream coming from their basement. I went running as I recognized the cry as my son's. After calming his hysteria he told me his foot hurt because when he had jumped off the stairs he landed with his toes pointing backwards toward the stairs. He didn't walk the rest of the day, woke throughout the night in pain and then didn't walk that morning.
On Wednesday I took him to the doctor.
Nothing was broken! Just a bad sprain. The doctor gave us a picture of Emmett's "skeleton" (the x-ray). Today, a week later, Emmett is still limping! That poor little boy.
