Yo Gabba Gabba

Toddler Tuesday ay the Mall of America today was Yo Gabba Gabba. I had no idea how busy it was going to be! We got to sit in the "balcony" which was actually perfect, because it wasn't crowded and we had our own space to dance and sing.
Eric surprised the kids and met us for lunch!

Cutting

For Emmett's birthday he got this fabulous cutting activity book with his own pair of scissors. Such a great gift! It's been so fun to see how his cutting skills have improved with more practice.
Also, I love the way Emmett integrates his toys. His latest favorite thing to do is build animal habitats (with his duplos) for his Schleich animals. He told me he needs Lego animals.

No internet :(

We're trying to figure out a different internet option, so in the meantime we have no internet, apart from going to coffee shops :) So in the meantime my posts will be few and far between! Hope to be posting for real soon!

Bye Bye Dactdoo!

Today was a BIG day! Emmett officially gave up his "dactdoos" (pacifiers). Eric and Emmett made a deal last Sunday that if he could go a week with out his dactdoo then he could trade his dactdoo for a Nintendo DS. So, today was the day. We put his dactdoos in a bag and headed to Game Stop. I am so proud of my little boy - BIG boy I should say! It's still weird for me to look at him dozing off to sleep with out that little pacifier in his mouth. It was about 3-4 rough nights of "I don't want a nintendo DS" but we persevered. I am so proud of him

He's happy with his trade!

Huddle

I thought this was the cutest site as the kids all huddled around the little traveling DVD player (Emmett's "Computer") to watch a movie.
Eisley later helped me clean out the car. It's so nice to finally have some warmER weather. If you consider 30s warmer!

Dot Paints

We got some dot paints. They are one fun way to paint with out quite as much of a mess as paint brushes. There is even a website where you can print out dot paint templates.

Emmett wrote (most of) his name

We had an educational morning of writing letters. Emmett wanted to do "just one more."
Then he asked to write his name. I did the Ms, but he did the Es and the Ts.
Emmett wanted to show Daddy, so Eric, this is for you!
Each time he'd finish a letter he'd say, "Yes, Yes, Yes!!"
Then we made footprint giraffes.
