Recipe Review: Homemade fruit snacks

Homemade Fruit Snacks

I had such high hopes for these.  Unfortunately 3 of 4 kids wouldn't eat more than 1.  The 1 year old was the only one who would eat them.  I made them with strawberries.  I'll try it one more time with peaches or blueberries.  I also want to try fruit leather (which wouldn't have any lemon juice or gelatin).

Homemade applesauce

How to:
- peel and core apples
- cut into slices
-toss in crockpot
- add some coconut oil
- add some cinnamon

let the crock pot do the work and enjoy the scent.  When apples are mushy, put in blender and blend to desired consistency.  Enjoy!

4 of 4 kids LOVED it!!  Bought more apples today to make more!

Recipe Review: Snickerdoodle Pancakes (gluten, dairy free)

We're on a gluten free and dairy free journey.  I'm enjoying it more than I thought.  I'm going to review the recipes I try from the perspective of a newly gluten/dairy free and most importantly, do the kids like it!

(picture from the Real Sustenance Blog)

- easy to make
- kids LOVED them
- double or triple the batch to have some as snacks, with PB, or an easy on the go
- coconut crystals instead of sugar
- sweet enough, no syrup needed!
